Service temperature:  18°C

Grapes: Lacrima
Type of wine: Red

Harvest:
Manual harvest when the right maturation of sugars, acids and pH is reached.
Winemaking:

Born from the vineyards on the low hills between Vallesina valley and the seaside city of Senigallia, Lacrima di Morro d’Alba is a red wine of full taste. It is characterised by the excellent consistency of the grapes which, when ripe, release small quantities of juice, very similar to tears. It is presented as a fresh, fragrant and very drinkable wine with evident aromas of rose and violet, a combination of warm and pleasant tones and flavours.

Lacrima’s growing area is in the hilly hinterland of Central Le Marche. Soil’s consistency is medium, tending to clayey, with a southeast exposure. During the “vinification” phase stems are separated from the grapes. Maceration of the grapes’ skin lasts about six days, followed by a period of thermo-controlled fermentation. The refining stage lasts four months in steel and two months in bottle.

Colour: Intense ruby red with purplish reflections.
Perfume: Very intense, of rose and violet, with notes of berries and spices.
Flavour: Elegant, very typical of the vineyard it comes from, fresh, fragrant and very drinkable, with a light soft tannin.

Pairings:
Appetisers, tomato-based first courses, sausages, spiced white meats, delicate red meats and cheeses.
